Bridges, Goin, Sebastian and Smith Accept College Softball Scholarships

Congratulations to Tristan Bridges, Maddie Goin, Morgan Sebastian, and Regan Smith on signing to play college softball. Tristan, Maddie, and Morgan have accepted softball scholarships to Tarleton State Universtiy. Regan has accepted a scholarship to NCTC. All four of these student athletes were integral members of Krum's first State Champion Softball team.

Real and Pieniazek win National Championship

Congratulations to Kyle Real and Channing Pieniazek on winning the Animal Systems Division 2 Agriscience Fair Championship. Kyle and Channing earned the right to represent after winning their respective division at the Texas FFA Agriscience Fair in July. In order to make the finals in Indianapolis, IN, they had to submit their research materials in a qualifying round to be one of 12 teams to compete from across the United States for the national title. This past week, they presented their research and data, and were interviewed by a panel of judges at the National FFA Agriscience Fair. The title of their research project was, "Winner Winner, Chicken Dinner." The premise of their project was the research and evaluation of the growth rate and cost-effectiveness of three different chicken feeds to determine which feed was the best choice for the backyard chicken farmer. This is Krum FFA's 2nd National Championship, as Gage Guffy won his division in 2013.

Allison Lackey Honored as 2017 Texas State UIL Outstanding Performer

Congrats to Allison Lackey on receiving OUTSTANDING PERFORMER honors in the 2017 UIL Texas State Solo and Ensemble Contest Keyboard Percussion Solo Contest! Of approximately 100,000 students competing in the regional UIL music contests and the 25,000 musicians that performed at TSSEC, only 2%-3% of the solo performances earned the distinguished honor of being recognized as an outstanding performer. #KrumProud
