Congratulations to Kyle Real and Channing Pieniazek on winning the Animal Systems Division 2 Agriscience Fair Championship. Kyle and Channing earned the right to represent after winning their respective division at the Texas FFA Agriscience Fair in July. In order to make the finals in Indianapolis, IN, they had to submit their research materials in a qualifying round to be one of 12 teams to compete from across the United States for the national title. This past week, they presented their research and data, and were interviewed by a panel of judges at the National FFA Agriscience Fair. The title of their research project was, "Winner Winner, Chicken Dinner." The premise of their project was the research and evaluation of the growth rate and cost-effectiveness of three different chicken feeds to determine which feed was the best choice for the backyard chicken farmer. This is Krum FFA's 2nd National Championship, as Gage Guffy won his division in 2013.
