(AP) Advanced Placement

Advanced Placement (AP) Courses are offered in English, mathematics, science, social studies and other selected areas. With AP, students are able to experience the rigors of college-level studies while still having the support of the high school environment. With qualifying AP exam scores, students may earn credit from a large majority of colleges and universities. It is the student’s responsibility to contact specific universities for their individual policies and score requirements for credit. NOTE: Students enrolled in an AP course are highly expected to take the Advanced Placement exam in May of the school year in which the student is enrolled. There is a fee associated with testing.
