Advanced Technology Complex (ATC)
As a student dually enrolled at KHS and the ATC, you have a unique opportunity. This experience will allow you to gain advanced skills, in addition to possible articulated college credit, licensure or certification tests. Because this experience will require you to leave KHS during the instructional day, we have compiled this document to help you be successful. As a representative of Krum High School, you are expected to demonstrate excellence in scholarship, leadership, and service while also attending the ATC.
Bell Schedule:
- Morning Session - 8:20-11:00 a.m.
- Afternoon Session - 12:20-2:45 p.m.
Transportation to the Advanced Technology Complex:
- BUS TRANSPORTATION: Krum High School provides bus transportation for all students attending the ATC. Students need to complete the bus application form. All Krum ISD Bus Safety Rules and the Student Code of Conduct are enforced on the school bus. In the event you class obligations that require other transportation arrangements, you must bring a note from your instructor to receive approval from KHS office administration.
- IF YOU MISS THE BUS: If you miss the ATC bus, you are expected to report to the office immediately to be counted present for attendance. Mrs. Beall will assign you a location for the duration of your two-block period so that you may have adult supervision while working on homework/class work. You will not be permitted to drive to the ATC if you miss the bus.

- ATTENDANCE: As with any class, regular attendance is essential for academic success. In order to receive credit in class, students must attend 90% of each of their classes per semester. When students miss classes at the ATC, they are missing two class periods. A student with 4 or more unexcused absences at the ATC, during a semester, will lose credit for that semester. ATC may offer credit recovery classes for an additional fee. When returning to school after an absence, a student must submit an absence note to the front office at the ATC attendance office. In order for the absence to be considered excused, a note must be provided within 48 hours of the students return to school.
- In the event Krum ISD and Denton ISD calendar days conflict, you will follow the Krum ISD calendar.
- PEP RALLY: If you want to attend a pep rally or assembly on campus, it is your responsibility to clear this with your instructor. Classes at the ATC require minutes completed for certification/licensure purposes. Unless you are involved in an extracurricular activity that is specifically involved in the pep rally, your instructor will make the call if a pep rally on the home campus is excused or unexcused.
